a kid i kno has a v6 mustang bone stock and he maybe gets 1 to 2 miles to the gallon more than me.

How were you only getting 7/10 MPG? You must be severely undergeared to get that mileage or something's wrong. I got 22 mpg on my trip up to Maine a couple weeks ago.

You get 7mpg in a Ranger and the repair is buy a Mustang.

I'll tell you something--you just wanted a Mustang. It's not about being practical.

Practical is boring. That's the yardstick to measure it with. Practical would have been a Civic or whatever Ford makes in that size. No way does a V8 Mustang qualify as boring.

Haha, that's what I read exactly Will.

;missingteeth;

insurance is gonna be killer with no tickets...

in 6 months and 8 points later you will be getting a focus...;missingteeth;

then a civic...

The Mustang gets 25 on the highway, thats a lot damn better then 10.

And it's fast, nice looking, etc etc
What's not worth the trade?

Are you talking about a 4cylinder mustang or like a new one because even with the v6 you will still only be getting around 19mpgs tops, my friend ownes one.

Hey, she's selling her Ranger for an awesome car, that does happen to be Ford. I sold my Ranger (on Sunday) for a PT Cruiser. At least her car is something cool, what do I have?

ya know. if you really actually dont know why she can potentially get 25 and your boy only gets 19...it will have to stay that way, cause i just dont have the time to try to explain this.

and if your guy has the 4.0 and not the 3.8...well, thats half the problem right there...

How in the world do you expect the value of your truck to pay for a Mustang GT? I'm not saying your truck is worthless but a GT is expensive. Your 7/10 mpg on a 3.0 is not normal by any means. Probably needs a tune up or something. Hell my 4.0 gets 15-19 around town. Plus a Mustang GT for a teenager, your insurance is going to go through the roof. Then god forbid someone hits you and makes your insurance rates go up even higher.

7/10mpg? My 3.0 4x4 with stock 3.73's and 33" tires gets close to 20mpg highway. Something must be wrong with it, if I was getting those numbers from my truck i'd sell it too.

I'm suprised nobody mention that earlier..

Something is defentally wrong there.. I have an auto, 3.73's, and 33's with a 4.0L and I get almost 19mpg Highway. Granted I get 12-13 city..
