Gone from silly to stupid.....

When I was younger and hungrier, I worked cladding windows with aluminum @ -35c, with windchill was -53c. I'd work for 5 min. and warm up for 10. My fingertips don't feel things like they used to :)

Here..... these are what WE bust.............

It isn't normal but we have had them like that, a couple years ago the county was pushing out 8' with their bulldozers. :shok:

I have a couple 2' drifts on my place that are fun to mess around with, kinda snow starved since we haven't got much for the last two years.

do you have all 10 still or are you a hobit at 9.5 like me ?

Still have ten. And recently I got pretty lucky in an argument with a grinder that picked up a 3' x 1/4" sliver of hood I was working on. I got 17 stitches in my fingers and didn't lose any use of them. I still don't use guards on some of my grinders but am a LOT more careful.

-35C !!

I get cold just thinking about +35F !!

fishin' weather here.

Well, last night was even colder than the first post... NO wind chill factored in.

MINUS -36° C add the wind Chill that pushes it to MINUS -51° C ( -60° F )

We are having a fire sale on snow, anyone want some (Bulk quantity only please) we will be happy to ship "Free" via reefer trailer(s) to anywhere in the Continental US, you pay the freight....

So sick of this cold weather its not even funny. Was in the single digits last week, then this Wednesday it was 60 degrees Fahrenheit, by the time I got out of work at 4am Thursday morning it was in the teens again. WTF. From shorts and a T-shirt weather to insta-freeze in 12 hours O_o

2006, I got an extended fall, they kept me down yonder until the southern lads couldn't hack it any more. So in January, I got to come back north, to Toronto and north, to the edge of the world. Southern lads need to stay down there, in their f@@c%*%# heat!!! Leave the ice to us, and the bugs and lizards/snakes that can kill ya to them!!!!!!!!!:thefinger::icon_cheers::icon_cheers:

HAha, he ain't kidding either!!:icon_surprised:

Gunnison CO has that kind of cold. I lived ther for 15 years. The coldest I remeber was -55f. That was Jan. 1 2003. The old ranger whined, but she got me to work, and even helped fetch a few coworkers whose cars wouldn't start. But back to the temps, we used to say we had 2 seasons a year, winter time and July (I have seen it snow there on July 4th as well).

This just in: Canada deemed unfit for human habitation due to extreme cold.

Postin' from teh Galaxy

It was -3*F here last night, with windchill it was -15*F :screwy:

Sent from, wait how did this get here?

Well right now at 6:35 in the evening it is a comfy 84 degrees f. 6 MPH breeze. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful evening. Time for an icy cold beer and a nice cigar.

The coldest I ever remember was in Brookings SD one night 1979 when I was in college. It was in the minus 50s and wind chill was like minus 76. Of course that was the night my old 1964 Chevy pickup wouldn't start and I had to hike about a mile and a half back to the dorm. Y'all can have it.
