Global Ranger revisited - again

A couple of years ago FPV (The Australian SVO) had some really nice Ranchero equivalent. Latest ones have a 6 speed manual with a 4.0L turbo. Think they are approx. 350hp. Maybe they don't carry all that much but for the very few times I haul heavy, use my trailer.

What I would give to have a Falcon UTE.

I'm looking to get a new truck, my 2.3l 1997 2x4 Ranger is nice, but in the Michigan winter months I'm not too happy driving it. Weight and snow tires help, but it's still frustrating driving 10-20MPH slower than everyone else to avoid fishtailing and having a hell of a time taking off on slightly inclined stops. Hehe

I'd buy a new 4x4 Ranger in a heart beat. Now my only options are what GM has. The Canyon and Colorado. I'd rather get a Ranger. Oh well...

IMO colorados suck....

Are the new Colorados out yet?

Dunno nothing about them but for a new pickup they look pretty sharp.

+1 to that buddy. I know that my '10 Kia, '03 Honda Shadow, and '99 Ranger would all be appearing on the dealer lot for trade in.

Oh I hope they kept that retarded Isuzu front brake setup. I love putting rotors on the front of Colorado/Canyon trucks. I have it down to a science and can get it done in just over an hour and a half, book time is 5 hours.

The Colorado's look like crap. The canyons look ok.

IMO the best looking truck concept or currently in production.

Makes the "world Ranger" look even stupider than it does on its own.

I would never buy one but I ain't afraid to give kudos when a truck company accidentally comes out with a decent looker... which happens far too rarely anymore.

They have completely different front ends....

Kinda like the fullsizes... the Silverado looks like a roadkill and bloated '81 and the GMC has a strange resemblance to a 08-10 Superduty. Everything from the firewall back is the same though.

Yep. At least the canyon looks sort of truck like. The Colorado looks like a van with the back roof cut off lol

I wouldn't say a different grille and logo justifies saying they have completely different front ends.

We have both in our company fleet, and once two were parked right next to each other and almost looked like twins. (Except the Canyon in this case was 4x4, the Colorado was 2x4. I should have taken a picture)

I like the Canyons more because of the little cosmetic difference and the name over the state.

Were talking about the new ones..... Not the old ones.
