I'm in a two week training period for my new job as a cable contractor, and have to get all of my own tools and stuff. The main thing I was dreading though was putting a ladder rack on my truck, but I had to do it.

Thanks lol. hopefully it'll look a little better once I get all of my tools on there

i have a design degree and i operate under the philosophy that form follows function, looks fine to me

you know ballistic fab and other places make some sweet roll-cage gussets that would really look cool on that rack. skulls, speed holes, bottle openers, etc.... just a thought.

and you can hang offroad lights under that front bar above the windshield

and i like the look :icon_thumby:

For what it is it looks good, but you asked for honesty and from an enthusiast, offroaders point of view it looks like a 40 yr old man has a truck and no no clue what its totally capable of. Its doomed to carry tools for the rest of its life. It'll never again see a modification. Kinda sad to be honest. But then again if my truck looked like that it would mean i had a stable job and wasnt spending my life alone. LOL so I guess it aint that bad.

God Froggy, feeling down are we? Truck looks good. I had the flimsy two piece bolt on ladder rack when I did cable and it sucked. Get your cable tools at Harbor freight cause the company will charge you an arm and a leg! Good luck and watch out for snakes this time of years and brown recluse spiders!

Clean, simple & durable. NICE RACK!!! If i had to, it'd look good on my truck.

it looks good to me man. i wouldnt mind having a truck looking like that with that on the bed.
+1 on adding some lights on the front bar and later u can get some agressive tires and rims

and most important. your truck will help u make money.

Its just fine! There are no bad points about being employed with the exception of loss of fishing time. Enjoy your new job, be diligent and make yourself #1. If layoffs come around ever, you will be the last man on the payroll. Now go get em pal. :icon_thumby:

Throw some canvas on it and you have a camping trip. I do like the look. Post pictures once you have it full of your tools.

Looks sad all empty.
