Hey, does anyone have some suggestions for some good mod's for getting a bit more low end torque? I've got an '09 ranger with the 4.0 and a 5 speed, and find it can be a bit sluggish off the line. Obviously, I can rev it higher when starting out, but I don't want to beat up my clutch. Most mod's out there really only increase high rpm horsepower, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Any advice? Thanks!

Re-gear to a shorter ratio
Turbo
Stroker
Swapping cam(s[remember it's a SOHC]) won't increase low-end torque, they might help make more torque but it will always be higher in the powerband...

A low restriction exhaust system. I use a single Magnaflow with dual in/dual out pipes, 2.25in id. Caution: when I spoke with a Magnaflow tech he warned to stay with a smaller diameter piping for increased exhaust velocity and better low end torque. With a single pipe 2.5 is okay.:icon_cheers:
