This is the stuff that "haunts" the rest of our lives (2 dui's) in my teens, been clean ever since.
Some of us wish for time machines, others like me took some time, and read about getting a pardon, or sealed, lots of reading, heck, I even went into court rooms to get (just sitting there) a better idea of what goes on, when your NOT there for a charge, just sat and watched.
Polite, no "Cuz, what, sure, forget it, none of that, yes sir, no sir, answer questions in a clear voice, in a neutral tone, no offensive body movements, and do NOT cross your arms. (at your side, fingers relaxed and open), and do NOT "fidget".
If you have a condition like tourettes syndrome, advise the court ON YOUR MEETING BEFORE,< NOT IN COURT, the judge will be told before-hand by the proceedings handler. (it's an internal court law that they inform the judge).
