about 200 pounds of cement, ive also got a 15 foot tow strap(incase of getting stuck or pulling a friend)...

what do you guys have in your bed?

I wish I had a tailgate. Thats what. I haven't seen it snow here once. Nor have I ever driven, wheeled, or touched snow more then about the size of an actual snow cone. Crazy lol

Heh I wish I had a tailgate too but I just use snow in the back of my truck from when I shovel walks for people I pile it against my toolbox then pour water over it so it'll freeze

Most of the time I just use a single 295/75/22.5 truck tire. At 130lbs they work real nice! I probably won't have access to one this year though, so maybe two 60lbs bags of sand (maybe)

I just use sand bags myself.

My dad uses a 15 inch ranger tire on a rim that we cut a hole in a put 120lbs of concrete in so far. We use the engine hoist to put it in.

last year i just left a blown ford escot motor im my bed

all the random rap laying around the yard, has to equal up to something...got 10-18 inches starting to come down right now

I don't have a clue myself, but is that contraption capable of handling that weight during an emergency stop?

I like to see 300 pounds of *whatever* bagged and secured in the back (preferably limestone this time, ready for a Spring house project). Gonna make a wooden frame within the bed, made of 2x6s, to keep it from venturing too far. I find keeping the weight right over the rear axle suits MY needs best.

We just got 12-24 inches of snow in the lower areas around here over the past couple days. I had my tires swapped to some glacier grip studded ones just after the storm started. I have a set of alloy rims for summer and a set for winter. With the summer set still in the bed with 225/70/r15's, stacked 2 high side by side against the front of the bed, and the snow that's accumulated back there, I haven't NEEDED 4x4 to get around. At first I had them against the tailgate, but it made a difference with how determined the rearend wanted to come around.

where r u from?

I am going to throw some 15-20 lbs landscaping stones in the bed for now. Next week I have plans to build a frame to hold them in a centralized location over the rear axle.

My winter stuff this time around:

30' 30,000# tow strap
4-gauge jumper cables
4 New Tires
Oil
Antifreeze
Gloves
