I'm putting this here because I need to figure out the problem and get it fixed ASAP.
I'm having a major problem with my truck. Yesterday it stormed really badly. On my way home from work I came upon a street that was like 5 or 6 inches deep in water. Apparently I was too low so my truck flooded out. Everything under the hood got wet and it stalled. Eventually the battery went dead from trying to start it. A friend came and jumped me off but the truck still sputtered/died for a while afterwards but eventually evened out.

This morning when I left for work it started clicking very loudly and the oil gauge was all the way in the red and while it drove ok there was not as much power.

Any ideas where I should look first or should I just start savin for a new one?

Here's a short video of what's happening.

What engine?

Did you check the dipstick?
is there oil in there and does it look clean, i.e. no water

Find and check connection on oil pressure switch, should be near the oil filter.

Assume Ford TFI ignition, they don't run well dry and even worse wet, but you can say that about pretty much any ignition system.

The noise could be cracked exhaust from rapid cooling, the dip in the high water.

But better safe than sorry, oil pressure needs to be regained either on gauge or tested with an analog gauge.

Its a 91 Ranger 4.0 2.3L. I did check the dipstick and it looks good. Someone told me the first thing I should do is change the oil and filter incase water got in. Does that sound right to you?

4cyl 2.3l......

Well if you have run the engine and oil is not "milkshake" color you are probably fine, as far as the water in the oil issue.
