Gas mileage?????

i need to get a couple of things fixed on my truck and really check my mileage. i think they both are effecting my mileage a bit

Im getting around 20mpg in 50/50 driving. Was getting 25 highway on my way back from Indiana since they have real gas available out there (no ethanol)

Had my '89 back on the road on a trip out of state . . and not pulling a trailer. Driving 65-75 mph the entire way got 23.6 mpg on crappy alcohol gas. I guess that's not bad and I can consider her "back" .

You can select for engine size, body style and model year, it will tell you what real people have reported as far as mpg.

I love this site. I use it to keep track of my fuel efficiency for all my vehicles.

Yeah that is pretty cool . . . if you can trust people calculating their own fuel mileage Sometimes, after reading some, I am sure they cannot. But cool site to check on various vehicles.

My 87 Ranger 2.3 EFI got about 21 hwy 5 speed with no AC, average speed was about 70 @ 2700 rpms. Tire sizes is 205/70/14

I get about 15mpg if I'm cruising to work... but that's 70mph, 35" tires, turbo 2.3L, 5.13:1 gears... I'm going to try to baby it and see if I can manage to keep it at 55mph for a tank as I think it'll be closer to 20... but it's hard to drive slow when jumping in the Ranger after the Tracker...
