Fyre82's Ranger refit

Awesome build thread! Nicely detailed. I like the way you did everything to that truck, treat 'er right!

Thanks for the great comments. :icon_thumby:
I did get some stuff done this afternoon after a double shift at work.

Finished up the wiring loom for the driving lights.

Success! :yahoo:

Today it's smog tested, (passed with flying colors), weighed, (freakin' cali) and tagged. I'll put the new plates on this evening.

I have next to nothing to do left except remove the old EGR, plug the exhaust manifold, wire up the aux back lights, some maintenance I didn't finish yet, an allignment and install the fender flares. From there on out it's fun in the Ranger.

We did take it out last weekend and climb some ohv trails. I would have pics but it is hard to drive and shoot action photos :icon_idea:. It's really a climber and I am impressed with the condtion of the whole truck.

I've dinked around a bit more sticking stuff on here and there . . .

Back up lights. I don't know if I like them yet but they were free.

Smittybuilt nerfs. These are fully adjustabe for height and some in and out, not sure of this placement yet as the height of the cab is a challenge for a couple of us.

I have taillight covers but they aren't on yet.

Still dinkin' around with small stuff. Painted and installed tail light covers.

I picked up a Black Chrome Dupicolor kit to test out. So far I have done a couple of license frames, it will get black if you put on too much but the effect is cool. I intend on doing the chrome wheels after I get a bit better at application, I think that it will cover the rust a bit and maybe help protect them. :dunno:

Maybe the nerfs too as they are way too shiny to even look at in the sun.

I did score a straight drive shaft to replace the stock one, should be here next week.:yahoo:

Your truck looks great. I know I've told you that a few times...

What lift and tiresize are on the truck?

..also...You're making me want to try a 5 speed swap.
