I removed the 1/8" bed plate. I made it 3/4" plywood instead. I lost 90 lbs doing that. New weight is 255# lol

And I trimmed the wood to add a gusset to the head ache rack. Havnt figured out how to draw the gusset I want yet...

That's reasonable.

Added sliders for the rear tires. Looks so out of place lol. All bends are a 4" radius. That is the die my buddy has for his bender lol

The width of the cab is 60" which is the widest part of the bed. The wing things are 81" wide. My track with is 83.5"

Now I need to start drawing up a bumper for my wife's JK... :icon_welder:

A c channel bumper for her jk should be pretty straight forward lol. No bends needed. Just let it stick out about 6" past the tire on either side.... Like a big fancy mustache

Worked the Ranger a bit today. I want to get this welded rear I have installed next weekend. Then next wheelin trip is the 24th.

The dually was this weekends project. I pulled out the 4.10s and put in 3.55s. I can now cruise at 70mph! :D My rpms dropped 20% at 70 mph.

I learned it has an open diff. That explains why I get stuck in wet grass.

Old 4.10s

Breaking them in

What rear end does the dually have?

Sterling 10.25".
Came in the back of all the 87-97 8 lug pickups. However, the dually one is wider from backing plate to backing plate.

The 99+ Superduties run a Sterling 10.5"

Sweet that what I thought but wasn't sure when they started putting them in the trucks.

Whats funny is that all of the 2011+ big 3 diesels are running 800-ftlbs stock. GM and Dodge are using an AAM 11.5 and Ford is still rocking the 10.5 lol

Are you going to put posi in the dually? Or perhaps a Lincoln locker?

Keeping the dually open. Edit: For now. A selectable locker in the future would be nice.

The 8.8 in the Ranger is getting Lincoln Locked.
