Trying to decide if I should go FW or narrow. The axles are going under a 1989 Ranger and I want the tires mostly covered. Which fender flares has people used and what back spacing on rims work best.

Would be great to see some pictures of other peoples fixes.

I went fw on a 94 explorer. I am not sure what my backspacing is. I cut up a plastic barrel for my fender flares and used angled metal to attach to the fender. My flares are 4" if i remember correctly.

The "Standard" for aftermarket 10s and 8s will be 3.75" BS. On a narrow (EB widtch) 10" rim with 3.75" BS will poke the tire about 2.5" beyond the factory flare on a 93+ and about 5.5" on a 83-92. FW (F150) with same wheels will add 3" per side.

Thanks guys. I'm going to narrow them. Going to use 79 Ford Dana 44 and a matching 9 inch, hope to get the 9 sent to Moser pretty soon.
