I found someone selling a fuel tank skid plate that says it will fit 1999 to 2001 extended cab. Would it also fit up to 2011?

If it wasn't an exact fit it probably wouldn't take much to adapt it. Seems like it ought to be close though. Same size tanks aren't they?

I believe the fuel tanks are the same, 19.5 gallons. I had a 2000 Ranger that I traded in for my current 2011. I wished I had removed the skid plates off the 2000 before trading it in. Oh well.

I could order one from a dealer in RI for around $80, but I'm afraid it will take close to 2 months like my last attempt to order one from a different place. I had to cancel the order.
