Hi... struggling a bit.... check engine light.... fuel pump/sending unit voltage problem..... need to replace fuel pump.... now how to find the correct fuel pump.... the facts... 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter gas, with a 7 foot box which is rare..... WB on door jamb says 118 inches... I assume that this is actually what the auto parts sites list as 117.6 inches.... Went to NAPA online.... they list several options.... read through them and you get WB is important and they list the wheelbase this part fits...... Before I bought the truck from my neighbor, they had the fuel pump replaced..... so it is NOT OEM and I wonder if the wrong pump was installed.... Went to A1 Auto and found this with a lifetime warranty.....
www.1aauto.com
and this listed below it was the following information.... and yes, $89 for the unit..... any ideas? is this it? and please, I contacted A1 and they said they didn't make one for this Ranger... the Ford site says their OEM number is no longer made.... which I find hard to believe.... Any advice/suggestions appreciated and yes, I will install it myself..... Thanks ... look forward to everyones' two cents....
