Fuel Guage

I have done this twice and am about to do it again. The first time the fuel pump died, the second time it was the regulator. Ever since the second time the fuel gauge has not worked. I have sucked it up for a while but recently I think I was subject to someone fuel siphoning my tank as I ran out 75 mikes earlier than usual with no change in driving style.

The sender unit is a complete assembly (pump, regulator, sending unit/float) ... speaking of a 99 model.

Also, there is a fuel pressure sensor on the top of the tank which will affect the data sent to the gauge. When I hooked mine up the last time it did seal properly so it would not register. I reseated it and it worked for a few days and then died again. I have since replaced that and the gauge still doesn't work so I am thinking the sending unit is bad or I have a pressure leak somewhere.

The pump assembly is a cheap warranty part from AutoZone so I will replace it AGAIN and see if that fixes it. Will report back.

Quick Update: I finally got around to the fuel pump assembly (warranty repair). The fuel gauge works again ... FINALLY!
