I just put an 89 dash in my 88 bronco II and the fuel gauge doesnt work, now im pretty sure that the reason is the new dash used a slosh module that runs 6v and the old dash didnt have one so my sending unit is 12v. I was thinking about taking the easy way out and just hooking up a 12v after market gauge from autozone to my sending unit, as far as I can tell that should work. Has any done anything like this?
thanks

As far as I know all the dashes have a 5v ivr. The sending units were changed in value at sometime, but I don't know when they changed. Are you sure the connecters go to the right places in the dash?

I got my fuel gauge installed, it was so easy. I just picked up the right autometer for my ohm range at my local performance store and about 15 minutes......done. anyone wants details let me know
