Front rotor/pad install, now truck shakes when turning....

Hi,

Long time reader first time poster


Just changed out the rotors and pads on my 99 ford ranger and noticed that the truck shakes when doing hard turns. It didn't do this before, so Im guessing that It has to do something with the brake job..

I took everything apart and put it back just like the manual said to. Help!

No,

the old ones looked ok. I will pull it out again and give it another look. Is there anything with the brake job besides the berrings that would make the car jitter when it turns?

A lot of times bad wheel bearings will cause shaking/vibrating.

Cool thanks again for the heads up on that. I will just go ahead and replace them!

Put in the new bearings and now it feels like its shaking worse throughout the steering wheel?!?!

Also noticed that the left side is now locking up when the brakes are applied with more pressure?

Sounds like you installed something incorrectly did you pack the bearings with grease?, take everything off and carefully go through it and make sure you didn't miss something, when you put it back together make sure you've torqd the spindle nut the correct amount

Hmmm.. I will double check everything and re-torq everything to spec. Thanks again for the help!!

I'll let you know if i get this fixed....or run into anything else *sigh*, Cheers!
