I'm not sure if I need 5/16 or 3/8 I'm assuming 5/16 because it's a supply line.

You could assume. Or you could measure. The choice is yours. I normally opt for measuring.

I just spoke with a sales rep from Summit. Here's the part I need. This adapts to the original quick disconnect line. I'm not sure if I need 5/16 or 3/8 I'm assuming 5/16 because it's a supply line.

Fuel filter uses 5/16” on both sides and I think also the tank fitting of those. Return I believe uses the 3/8” flavor. I keep a few of both on hand just because.

@Curious Hound @lil_Blue_Ford The reason why I'm posting this video is because I wanted to see how this part (photo below) will couple/interface to the original existing part of the fuel line in which I'm not replacing as of yet. Is this the correct fitting I'll need? I'm just double checking is all.

It says it does. I looked at those a couple weeks ago. I like that style because instead of the spring lock, it uses that slotted nut to tighten down on the lip of the connection. That seems a lot easier to deal with, in my opinion.

Yeah that style is really sweet. I was just wondering if thats the proper connection hookup, not sure if I needed male or female.

@Curious Hound Would I need both a 5/16 and 3/8 fitting for both lines, supply and return. It says I would, but both fuel lines look like the same thickness.

Most of what I have seen uses both sizes. Does the same removal tool work on both? If so, they're the same size. If not, the smaller is 5/16" and the larger is 3/8". Or just measure them and see if they're the same. You won't measure 5/16" or 3/8" because that is the nominal size of the inside of the hoses. But, doing a comparison will tell you if one is bigger.

That's a good point, I haven't removed those not so quick disconnect fittings yet Most likely tomorrow,,, however when I find out I'll post it on the thread. Most of the fittings and the PTFE hosing came today, but not that latest fitting I recently found on Summit. I just ordered them, the 5/16 and a 3/8 EFI to 6AN fitting.

The costs for all of the fittings and the Evil Energy PTFE 6AN fuel line kit, which includes the top intake plenum gasket, came to aprox $135. Really that's not too bad....I'm sure if I brought this to an auto mechanic, this job would cost an upwards of $700-$1200,,,heaven knows.
