Front End Re-build

RaceRanger, first off bitchin' truck dude! I was watching the YouTube vid, and I was wondering.. Are you still running the 63/64" leafs in the rear? It didn't look like you had much travel back there :icon_confused:

thanks..yeah they're back there...the shocks limit it quite a bit still...i think the shocks have really slow rebound valving or something because when I have it on the lift the rear droops out quite well but it seems like all the pics of it in the air the rear tires are still up in the fenders...idk

Love how the front moves, can't wait to get my truck to that level:icon_hornsup: Damn shocks are always the hardest part to catch up to everything else :annoyed: haha

Now do you have to re-arch the GM leafs for them to fit or did you just do that to get more pre-load? (If that's the right term:dunno:)

well..if i lest them at their stock arch, they wouldn't have much range of motion. With them re-arched they go from flat at bump all the way past that set arch at droop with the proper shackle set-up

How many inches of droop are you getting before the spring pack starts to separate? 1" before the pack separates is going to be your true usable wheel travel.

what do you mean? what kind? I made the ones that are currently on the truck

Did you put in a 8.8 rear? Or did you repair your 7.5 rear?

lol well Ive been calling all the dismantaling places near me once a weak..Nobody seams to have one with disc brakes right now. as soon as i find one I am going to build it and through it in. I got the 7.5 re-built by Fearless Gear for free so thats what im running again in the mean time..don't think it will survive very long with the upcoming trips i have planned. I will def. be towing it wherever I go just in-case.
