Front Driveshaft Question

Yes to the 89-90 B2.
A shaft out of a 1st gen Ranger/B2 with an automatic trans should work as well. The A4LD is the same length as the M5OD.
The explorer shaft is likely to have the double-cardan u-joint for a bolt-up yoke that you don't want.

Got one today at the junkyard out of an auto and it bolted right up. Ran me $50 which is about half of what they wanted to extend the original one I had.

A4LD/FM146/M50D-R1 are all the same overall length.

as to another matter...

"Bolt on front yokes" on a 13-50 T-case?

Yes.

On the 1987 (TSB retrofit), 1988-89 STX "High Rider" Rangers.

However, this bolt on front yoke is a unique size that uses the small
U-joints and even smaller bolts.

It is entirely different from the "December 1989" up 13-54 fixed yoke T-case.

Ok, that said, what about my 91 explorer t-case. It has the double cardan, fixed yolk and 13-50 stamped on the front mounting face. (not questioning, just confued)

All early 13-54 t-cases have that "13-50" marking on them because one of the things they didn't change was the front bearing retainer plate.

It is the same 13-50 to 13-54.
