Hello,
Vehicle details:
2002 Mazda B4000
6 Cylinder, 4.0L, 4x4, Auto
Back again! A couple more issues have popped up, but that’s a given with an old truck I guess !!
Yesterday I noticed a leak coming from around the front differential on the passenger side towards the passenger wheel. It has been a very slow leak and grimy/dirty. I’m guessing it’s differential fluid and not oil. I’ve been checking the oil levels daily and they are fine and have not gone down. I have had this truck for almost month and this is the first time I noticed the leak (I have been checking for leaks everyday). I usually park on flat ground at my house, but my truck has been parked on an incline the last two days, if that would make any difference.
I have no smoking oil in engine or oil leaking from other components as of now. Hoping it’s just a seal that can be replaced!
I’m wondering if the issue is an Axel Seal Leak which is causing this? I’m talking it in to a trusted shop Thursday to get it looked at. Hopefully it’s just the Seal and differential fluid and not an oil leak.
Im just trying to tackle one thing at a time with this truck and looking to get at least 3-4 years out of it.
thanks in advance
