I had a 73 Pinto wagon with the 2000 cc engine and 4 spd manual transmission. I bought it new for about $3,300 and sold in 9 years later with over 100K miles on it. I got a little over $2000 for it. I kind of felt guilty for getting that much for it but the guy really wanted it and it was still in great condition.
We got our monies worth out of that car. It was my wife's daily driver and we took it on a lot of road trip vacations. We were able to camp in it and slept in the back. I even tried to drive it off-road at Death Valley one time but realized pretty quick it was too low for that kind of thing. I really liked that car and it was trouble free after we burned up a differential bearing while still under warranty.
