I found this for $30 bucks. I plan on starting the rebuild on it next week. Going to try to keep it pretty simple and keep the stock specs. That is if I don't have to get it bored. I have not checked the internals yet.

Hopefully the HO was good by '92... that's the year I have. I've also read that '92 was the last year for forged pistons, but I don't know.At what point did they get good???

Are the forged pistons good? And why?
the 5.0Ls from 87-93 are often the best ones to look at.
LMAO so you say early 80's were bad?? At what point did they get good???
Well I got a 1988 block out of a 1988 town car, you think its a good block with a good crank or is it one of the shitty ones???
I have seen a few SBC cranks that were broke
I worked in a machine shop doing engines and I never seen a broken 302 crank not saying it doesnt happen but its not common. I have seen a few SBC cranks that were broke and a few 3L V6 fords but never a 302..
