Ford, this needs to happen!

Yeah, lets worry about getting them to put some intelligence into the design of the engines before we worry about a two door SUV that won't sell because it only has two doors.

These morons are building, and mass-producing, interference engines that do not have a keyed crank. The timing sprocket is interference fit and the crank pulley is held to that with a freaking diamond-encrusted washer. RETARDS!!!

Dayum.... which engines have this er.."feature"?

I think I will avoid those in my next truck or car purchase if all possible...

Sorry weezl, its not going to happen. Those pics are from an article Fourwheeler released on April 1 2014...

that sounds just like "ford will never come out with a new gt"

If it does happen it will have a Egoboost 4 or 6 cylinder in it.
But don't worry...if you can afford the higher end models you will get the awesome "Active Noise Control" or "order content" option.
And all that option does is pumps V8 engine noise through your speakers!
Varoom Varoom!

I never thought I would see the day that speakers is a replacement for displacment!

Edit to add:
Yes it is fact....It is on the new F150 and mustangs.
Welcome to the new world boys...................

They have been piping intake noise into the cabins of Mustangs for at least a decade. Dunno about the trucks.

My brother's '11 GT has it, 5.0/302 has been the gold standard Mustang displacement since 1968, found its way into a few trucks too. I know the 05-10 Mustangs had it too and 4.6/281 is pretty darn close in displacement to the ever popular 4.7/289 that the 302 replaced back in the day.

Of course now the 5.0 will run with (or outrun) an old big block and get better mileage than an I6 could dream of.

They do it because some fun hating states are sticklers more than others about how loud a new car can be, but some people want certain cars to have an aggressive sound when they are driving them. Cheap easy fix for all parties.

The problem with going back to older vehicles is... going back to old vehicles. My 13yo dd has asked for lower ball joints, rear u-joints, intake gaskets, wheel bearing assembly, a coilpack, fanbelt/idler/tensioner, dash lights and was nearly totaled out in a hail storm all in 2014. And while I am ignoring (ignorance is bliss right?) the oncoming rust and new hail dings it is still strongly hinting for new tires. Hasn't left me stranded yet but it does hurt faith in it for striking off on long trips.
