Yeah, for the $50-60k they would think it is worth they can keep the technological marvel.
And the Edge is surprisingly not that bad offroad once you kill the TC. I took a wrong turn right before Christmas and ended up taking my GF's 08 AWD down a mud road (it was snowing so visbility wasn't great and we didn't know we were in it until the thing dropped as the gravel went to mud)
It wanted to go the left ditch, I tried to steer out of it. I could feel it wanting to fight bad but it was like every other punch was it hitting itself in the face. Got it straddling the edge of the ditch, stopped and hit the button... then it had a pair. My "stupid" trucks wouldn't have tried to ditch me like that. I am glad it had a full kill on it though, some don't. Got it backed around and drove out back out the way we came in, rammed a hunk of steel through a tire so I got to lay in the muddy gravel road in the snowstorm and change a tire in the dark with the POS stock jack and wrench but we didn't get stuck and the tire light didn't come on until we got out.
Considering the rather weak highway tires (Destination LE) it had/has I was pretty impressed. My stomach dropped when we hit mud, I knew were screwed and I was a long ways away from either of my capable 4x4s... but it held its own.
The "Bronco Concept" pics based on the F-150 was from someone's April Fools joke last year, I forget if it was fourwheeler or who did it but it was a magazine.
As for the Raptor, they sell like hotcakes. No real problems in my area with them per my Sr Master Tech little bro.
