FORD`s super secret Megazilla V8

Not steam powered either but sometimes trade offs are neccessary if you want to make horsepower.

Do you not have a pulse? Whats better then a mega cubed N/A 'murican V8....even if it is EFI

All that plus this:

52350

Oh come on, rusty doesn't understand what that thing is!

im surprised its a pushrod engine. 7.3? that will be single-digit mpg. May as well run a blower, hope the transmission holds up to the power output.

The original godzilla is only 430hp/470ftlbs. I mean, thats not weak by any means but there are way more powerful and way more efficient engines in Fords arsenal. Hell that's pretty much on par with a stock 3.5 ecoboost v6. It's just not really special or useful for anything unless you're rusty and just get a boner for anything that reminds you of the 70's. The coyotes are lighter, faster, and more effecient in anything mustang wise, the 6.7 diesel is a more powerful and efficient heavy truck engine and the ecoboosts are a better light truck engine.

The only thing "better" about these engines is they are cheap compared to a Coyote, Powerstroke, or EcoBoost.

Even that article says it can be tuned to 700hp N/A. I would say that’s 1/2 ok.

I didn't say its a weak engine... but if you're gonna compare what can be done to an engine by aftermarket builders....

And nitro funny cars make 10,000hp with pushrod engines.

My friend has a 2020 7.3 Superduty. Gets about 14 mpg in mixed driving. He traded in a 2015 F-150 Eco-Boost for it

I get about 17 on my 2017 6.7. Have seen as much as 20, but it's got a lot more than 430hp with its current tuning. Probably around 650hp and 1000+ lb.ft. of torque.

I'm glad they came out with a big inch gasser, but for my money on a 3/4 ton (or bigger), diesel is the best option if you really need a pulling/hauling truck.

They also use 22 gallons of fuel to make a single 1/4 mile pass and tend to blow up half the time trying to make that pass.
