Ford Ranger a4ld transmission swap with a Ford bronco possible?

So i bought a Ford Ranger from 1988 with an a4ld automatic transmission and My dad's got an old bronco from 89 with a 4 Speed automatic an i was wondering if it's possible to swap the transmissions without too much trouble?

No, they are different transmissions, also bellhousings won't match engine bolt patterns

You would need an A4LD from same engine as yours, 2.3l or 2.9l, also needs to match 2WD or 4x4 as they are different as well

If you have a 2.9l engine then you can use an A4LD from a 1990-1994 4.0l engine because they used the same bolt pattern, but still needs to match the 2WD or 4x4 part

What engine is in the 1989 Bronco?
You could swap over engine and transmission, lol, alot more work but can be done depending on the engine in the 1989

The engine in the bronco is a 302.
Would it be possible to swap the bellhousings?

No, they use different cases so bellhousings are not swap-able

But the 302/5.0l V8 will fit in a Ranger engine bay, would need a lower intake
