My credo
Work hard and play harder
I just got Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade. :yahoo: Guess what I am doing tomorrow at work.:icon_hornsup::yahoo::icon_cheers:

I thought Windows 7 doesnt come out until the 22. Anyway I should be getting my Home premium upgrade in the mail soon.

I work for IUPUI so they get stuff early. Yay for me!

I tried to goto one of those windows 7 invitational parties but when i tried to sign up for the atlanta one it was full :( i was too late

Got mine preordered.

I'd rather do a clean install than an upgrade....
You have to do a clean install if you are running any other operating system other than Vista. There is no upgrade from XP to 7. The architecture is too different for a direct upgrade.

Me too!

I have been running the Release Candidate version for about 3-4 months and love it.

I just cancled my pre-order. The wides little brother is going to get it from IUS on Monday for me. For the price he can get it for me, I couldn't pass it up. I wont tell you all what I am getting the 32 & 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate version for cause you will be MAD!

I got it for $20 and I went with the 32 bit just b/c I am not sure if my laptop can handle 64bit. Is that Indiana University South by chance? I am doing a clean install due to I have Vista Ultimate and I have that option.

You also have to do a clean install if going from 32 bit to 64 bit regaurdless of your current OS.

And to hoosier, if you have a 64 bit processor then it can handle a 64 bit OS.

Yup, getting them both for $40 ($20 each). Yes, it is Indiana University Southeast in New Albany.

I got windows xp 64 pro and I am never looking back => Although I have fond memories of win2k. I had one copy of 2k running on a pc for a year solid without ever seeing it reboot. or needing one =>

After that I used that Same pc to remotely repair XP from blue screen on numerous occasions.

I used to have the same thought process as you do about XP. Once I installed the Beta version of 7, I was in love. 7 has a ton more features and abilities than XP or Vista.

Once I get the disc for 7, I will NOT be looking back!

I'm one of the few who really like Vista and probably won't upgrade to 7 for a while as it doesn't seem worth the $$$. I do run the 7 RC on an old dell P4 and I do like it minus a few GUI changes I'm not overly excited with (but some of that is more not wanting to change)
