Just lost overdrive and reverse in my FM146, 1990 Ranger Supercab . I've got a FM145 in my junked '87 Ranger, can I swap one of these in it's place? I think gearshift location dimensions might be a little different??? Any info appreciated.

An FM145 is two inches shorter than an FM146. This creates issues with driveshafts, the transmission mount, the stick, and a transfer case shifter if you have one.

And it sucks just as much.

Thanks for the info. Saves me crawling under two vehicles.
