Flat storage unit in back of Ranger / dog bed

I built this out of scrap wood and hardware I had lying around. I made it specifically because I off-road with my (large) dog and there wasn't anywhere for her to lay down, and it doubles as storage underneath. It bolts right into where the jump seats were. I am thinking about adding a back to it so I can hang my hi-lift, lug wrench, etc. Anyone put something like this in the their truck? I didn't see any reason to keep the jump seats.
