ok i think i might have finally fixed my gas tank. it was leaking ta the top only when filled up.. tank was broken at the base of the filler tube attachment point on tank.. got some glue/sealer that was gas resistant, made a metal ring to cover break, cleaned area with die grinder fitted with 3m rolock disc.. then got a small piece of flat stock and drilled a hole in it. fastened small metal piece on inside of tank with it spanning broken part (used a machine screw to fasten it sandwiching tank between ring an small piece of metal inside tank). then used sheet metal screws to fasten ring to tank. sealed with sealer..
now to see just how long it lasts
