u can see in my previous posts what i had done to try to correct the problem. on thursday i ran the truck balls out for about 10 miles,i figured if there was carbon build up on the #5 valve causing the misfire that this might loosen it up a bit. it did actually start misfiring less..today I went back to the mechanic and he recommended unpluging the 02 sensors cause we figured they were carboned up real bad since the #5 plug was black. what i found was an 02 sensor that had not been reconnected when the trans shop had last worked on the trans about 2 month ago..plugged in the o2 and the idle smoothened out real quick..I decided to replace all 3 o2 sensors since they had over 60,000 miles on them and had been carboned up. hopefully this fixed it,thanks to all who helped me
