First time b2 onwer

the pic is not my axle its a pic I found on google, but the red ring is where the leak is on mine. can I just take the plate off and redo the seal or do I have to take the hole axle off. and what would be leaking? looks like an oil but then again its so dirty under there its would be hard to tell what color the oil is lol

The cover on a 7.5 is just a cover, no big deal taking it off on vehicle and RTV'ing it back on. You will want new gear oil and plenty of rags/spill control.

And I just used the cheapest Valvoline that had plate/clutch type differential additive (because mine has a stock track-lok) if your is the standard open style any oil would do.

Nothing else needs to come off then, you can just pull the cover off clean it up and use some rtv silicone to seal it, fill with 80wt gear until it starts coming back out the oil fill hole.

ok thanks and where would the fill hole be its hard to find info online

ok thank you wish I could do it today but woke up to snow lol all the work I do is in the back yard or front depends if I want to hop a curb or not

I need some help now. do I have to take off the valve covers to get to the fuel injectors

Just a reminder of something that is too obvious. Always break the filler plug loose before you drain the fluid!

well I have had some fun lately been doing a little work that I can do we had a good snow fall this last week and found out that the 4x4 works with the locks on the wheels but the push button don't work so had a little fun changing out the motor for that just to find out that it was a wiring that went bad lol got my sound system in it not that it well be in there for long but my big thing to do is replace the fuel injectors and the seal on the valve covers but still don't know if I have to take covers off to get to injectors or not would like it to be two projects or two days work. also need to fix my cluster I don't like that fact that the temp never moves and the gas well be full or empty so never know what I have going on and my oil that is off too anyone know if I can just clean the cluster or should I get a new/used one

No, not the valve covers. You do need to remove the upper intake manifold, 6 bolts I believe, two at the bottom of each runner, as well as all the peripheral stuff attached to it. Then pull up hard. Some times I just put some ratchet straps around it and jack up on her with the cherry picker. Then you have 4 bolt at the corners of the fuel rail and it should pull off with all the injectors attached.

thank you that helps a lot and well make it a two projects for what I need to do but I well have to wait till summer to that its been to cold to do anything here but I can do my small stuff inside the B2 I hope to have the CB installed this weekend

been spending time with kids and that means inside this weekend so I decied to mount my CB and 1 to 3 switch to my center console. now the console is not stock so I have to figer out how to mount them both wish I took pics as I went but forgot to was not easy to do as the bottom of the console is stock. the after market console is old and came with the B2 I took the old cloth cover off to make it all black in the pics that I have youll see tape over one part that's because there was a hole there that I could not use I only had to cut a little off for the CB to fit and drill twice to make the CB fit right the first time I drilled I didn't count for the coax so had to drill so I could hook up coax I was going to use a L connettor for the coax but at this time could not find one as everyone was sold out the three way was not easy to do as I had to take it apart and screw it to the console and put it back together. when I have the time I am going to put blue LED lights on the inside to light it all up seeing as the CB is blue in color when on and I have blue LED that light up the floor inside and the three way is blue too.
