I'm looking to do just a simple lift. I have a 2001 Ranger XLT 4x4 and I went to a place called the Off-Road Wearhouse to get some quotes for a 3" suspension lift at minimal cost. This is what they recommend:

Torsion Key Leveling
Deaver Leaf Springs
Bilstein Shocks

This would give an almost 2" leveling lift for the front and then I'm replacing the stock springs with new ones as well as all of the shocks.

Does anyone else have any helpful hints as I start a long awaited custom project for my truck. Any other parts they recommend and where is the best places to buy them. Also, how easy is it to do yourself.

Thanks.. :icon_thumby:

Skip the torsion keys all together they are a waste of your time and money. You can get the same results for free from a simple cranking of the torsion bar adjuster bolts. You will need an alignment when done.

Other than that there are no cheap lifts for your year of ranger other than doing a 3" body lift.
