Not just the first in 400 years.

Brightest great conjunction since 1299.

Next will be in 2080.

I have been prepping for this for weeks.

And it is really cloudy here.

Yeah, I was very excited to see this on the Solstice, and it's so damn cloudy. I'm hoping maybe it will clear.

Not for me. There is a storm moving in from the direction I need to be clear.

Yell at it...

Did that.

More than half the sky is clear in the direction I need right now, it's just that SW corner that is cloudy, and that's what I need clear.

In about 10 more minutes they will be behind my skyline.

Yeah, I missed it.

If I only had a camera that could take pics at night.

Hope to see this with the naked eye. Had a nice pair of binoculars but they burned up in the Bear Fire and I haven't gotten around to replacing 'em. Should have good weather to see the display.

It's stinking cold out in case anybody is wondering...

I tried to see it... to much cloud cover here too.

I saw them. Perfectly clear sky. Had my 10x50 binoculars but could see them with the naked eye. If I had known yesterday, I could have had my camera ready. There is a hill nearby that has been cleared off for a new neighborhood. So I had a great vantage point.

65 degrees and clear sky here. I saw a bunch of people parked in a dark field staring up at it. Not much to see with the naked eye, but pretty cool when you consider the rarity.

Did you get any pics @85_Ranger4x4 ?
