i get to go camping...it'll be a fun trip-3 hours on rough logging roads in a stretched truck packing a camper and pulling a boat.leaving at 9 tomorrow morning,so i'll be there by noon.got the fishing gear packed,gonna get me some coho,halibut,maybe a spring.wife's gotta work,so it's just me and the dogs.can't wait.

it took a little longer than i thought it would to get there.the roads aren't horrible,but just potholed enough that with this rig i was in first gear a lot.figured that taking it slow would still be quicker than fixing flats or wrecking the camper.

after 4 hour of picking my way over potholes,i came across this.what it doesn't say is that the hill is almost 4km long.just put it into 1st gear and let it coast down slow on the engine.at the bottom of the hill is an immediate 90* turn....if you pick up too much speed and don't make the turn,you land in the ocean.

once i got to the bottom,congratulating myself on getting my gear down to the sound,i came across the camp.big boats and 5th wheel trailers all over the place.seems lots of folks bring all their gear down in the spring,and leave it all here till fall so they just have to bring themselves down.
