Finally. A permanent power steering whine fix!

Question plz. I installed this set up on my 3.0 and it works great. The one thing I dont like is the way the pressure hose connects under the pump. The stock hose is way too long. Did you use the stock hose or did you find something shorter. I’ve developed a bad leak and as far as I can tell it’s from that bottom fitting because the hose pushes at such an angle. Thanks for the post and any info you have.

It’s been a few years since I’ve had that truck. But if I remember correctly. I rebent the high pressure line so that it wasn’t so pinched.

I also had a leak out of the fitting. I had to take it apart and replace the oring and that seemed to solve the issue.

Maybe I'm deaf. I have a 98 Ranger 3.0 that I've owned 26 years, never heard a peep from the ps pump. Yeah, two have gone bad, but it wasn't due to a whine. My 04 LIGHTNING, never heard a peep from it either. But, the blower whines so loud, it may be masking it.
