All time favorite band, and has been since their "Clumsy" release in 1997, Our Lady Peace. They are by far, one of the biggest and most inspiring Canadian bands. Also Raine Maida's (Lead singer) private studio in his home (King Noise Records) he has helped a lot of smaller Canadian bands produce albums, and to get them a start in the industry, bands including Billy Talent, Avril Lavigune, and Billy the Kid. His wife (Chantal Kreviazuk) and him, also does a lot of charity work in Darfur, and the Congo (his first solo music video was to raise money to help build a school in the Congo). He really is an inspiring guy. I've seen Our Lady Peace in concert 3 times, and I've seen Raine Maida like another 2 times. On Our Lady Peace's second last time in Calgary May 1, 2006 they played at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium and during the concert he walked around the crowd and came up to me and gave me the microphone and let me sing the last half of "Where Are You". Best day of my life, with the best band ever.

Darkest Hour, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Opeth, Death Cab For Cutie, Comeback Kid, Atreyu, many many others but those are my top favs.

Alice In Chains. If you've never listened to them and you like rock/grunge, I suggest you listen to them. IMHO the best Seattle grunge band, blowns Nirvana away.

i personally dont understand what the hype is all about with nirvana.

i guess when a lead singer dies, it just makes the music that much better. idk.
