so leave to go to work this morning and everything is goin as normal...i have been haveing a smal issue with nthe heat in the truck. 99 3.0 auto 4x4. the temp guage fluxuates a hole lot before befor eit settles down, the i have heat. well this morning instead of goofing around, it stays bone cold till i get on the hwy, then it blows coolant all over the place and i turn into a giant steam ball cruising down the road:temper::pissedoff:. what a wonderful day it is,i guess this weekend ill be flushing coolant, till then viva la VW!

I guess it is better than me. At least yours started. Get in mine at 330 AM and CLICK CLICK. Tons of juce in the battery but no start. GREAT an unpaid day off of work.

sorry to hear about the problems...

Is it just me or is this a vehicle thing?

I try to stay on top of repairs but it always amazes me that outside of regular maintenance, if a part is going to screw up it (almost) always does it in minus 20 weather with a howling snowstorm making things nearly impossible to deal with until you get it into a garage...

I've had a few 'easy' repairs...like when my started died while I was parked outside a wrecking yard...but they are the good ones...only problem with that one was I'd just spent the $100 I had earmarked for repairs that week and needed another $25 for the used starter...

Murphy's law rules! Took the wifes F-250 down to the self car wash, did a good job. Go to leave and just the "Click-Click". 10 degs above and I'm stuck in a car wash with ice and water all over the cold concrete. Luckly it was just the contacts on the starter but it was still a cold job to get under there, glad I had some tools with me.

About 8 or 9 months ago in my previously owned 1995 Ranger I went out about 5 a.m. to leave to go to work, I get a CLICK CLICK. So I miss work and lose a days pay, figuring it's the starter relay, went a bought a new one, put it on, and CLICK CLICK. Had it towed to a local shop and turns out to be the starter.

damn, we are one sorry bunch!

Just got back from the shop and a $140 bill for a tow and a bad wire to the starter!!

Sunday morning, going out for shopping. Jump in the truck, nothing. Everything dead, not even a click or lights. So a quick hop to Sears, $200 for a new battery. Still nothing, only to find out a little later that it was the +pos battery cable.

And just last week, my odometer stopped. Not real thrilled about, especially since it was in the 20's *F. Got that fixed, now my speedo is a little off. Third time correcting it is not the charm. But at least I won't be speeding.

You know your not suppose to run over the black cat.

if i used to have a black cat and it ran away, does it still apply the same way...sure seems like it...

also, running over the black cat sure seems better than letting it pass in front of you, at least you killed the bastard that gave you the crappy luck!!!

:icon_rofl:. Does it still count if it wasn't able to completely pass in front from you running it over?

Now I like your justification but no running over a black cat is like having it run in fount of you and smashing a mirror. All around not good. As for owning one and it running away... I don't know.
