My credo
Lead follow or get out of my way
I have a full set of Alcoa wheels and looking for a 5th for a spare. Anyone have one they would be willing to sell?

Just going to bump this back to the top.

Get those lead weights off that beautiful Alcoa wheel! Wal Mart uses plastic weights now, get some, they won't react with the aluminum.

By-the-way: the Alcoa decals are long gone from my set, are they under the clear coat or stuck on top? Any idea where I might find some?

I bought that set of wheels and tires probably 15 years ago as used take offs. I believe those BFG AT's were from the factory. Balanced from the factory that way.

I'm not sure if all Alcoa wheels had that sticker... my FX4 I bought new didn't have them. But the sticker/screen on this set was actually tri colored... blue red and black.... long faded to what you see today. You might contact Alcoa and see if they will let loose stickers if they have them. I know I've seen them on bigger truck wheels.

I agree though... when I put new tires on them... they will be tape weights on the back side.

If you bought new & wheels had no decal that pretty well confirms that not all came w/ decal. I just thought it would be a neat distinction. Now that I think about it I don't remember seeing the decal on later model FX4s ('05 & up?). Have a buddy who works at a fleet truck shop, will quiz him about availability of the decal.
Thanks.

I have a full set on a 1985 I think. Whole truck is for sale but I have extra wheels for it

My 02 FX4 did not have the so called decal. I eventually bought one for the spare from around an 05 FX4 LII model year. It had the marking under the clear coat. It is now faded away to nearly invisible.

Still looking for a single Alcoa...

Still looking for one Alcoa.

Try calling EveryRim.com (800) 383-7974. They specialize in OEM rims but may have Alcoa.

I've called Every Rim a couple times... today included. The still don't have one in stock but I appreciate you posting that. I'll keep trying.

Until the next time I try... I'm just bumping this to the top again.
