F150 transfer case option for my RANGER 4BT

Yeah I know I am going to have to chop up the oil pan up. Just hoping it will be pretty straight forward.

Tim

Here's what my oil pan looks like after mod'ing and painting.

The little "notch" at the bottom of the pic is for the axle disconnect. All the rest is to clear the axle and pumpkin by about 1" in all directions. Its all 3/16s plate, it may be overkill but its what I had.

I saw the picture from your build thread. I had a big problem over the week, I had a broken bolt in the flywheel so, I sent it to the machine shop, and he got it out. I am going put a rear main seal in it, and put the clutch together. I am going to mount the transmission and transfer case, so I can just drop it right on the frame. I hope to have this finished by the weekend. I will try to post some pictures soon.

Im not too sure if the steering box is similar location or exactly the same as my 94, you may have fitment problems with the powersteering/vac combo. do measurements if you havent got one yet

Dave, his truck is IFS/rack and pinion, like mine. Its way different then the TTB/ steering box style.

i wish i didnt have that damn box in the way lol.

I am glad my truck has rack and pinion, I put a 240D mercedes engine in an early ranger along time ago, and the steering was a big problem.

I was delayed this weekend and made almost 0 progress, I did the get flywheel back, got the clutch installed, and ran it, to make sure the rear main seal isn't leaking. I am going to bolt the tranny to it and go home.

Thanks for the help.

Tim
