just a quick question im assuming its been posted before and all but before i do it tonight the explorer spring swap tech article seems to be centered on the ttb 4x4 rbvs. im assuming it works on a 1998 and up ranger as well

1998 and up has no coil springs, they are torsion bars.

The 2wd's have coils (different again tho) except the edge which has torsion bars again.

yeah

head about 6 feet backwards.. after the 4th ranger in the yard and working in a ford dealership shop for 3 years (got a 96 4x4 an 01 edge 2wd a 98 regular 2wd and my 01 4x4 i figured out the torsion bar/ coil spring difference). the leaf springs out back are what im messing with sasquatch i cranked the bars and need to go to the rear axle to get it level i went all the way with it in front. gotta clear the 33's

My bad, when you said TTB 4x4's I assumed you meant front end. Yes the leafs will swap over the same, and will add about 1.5" of lift. Another option is to toss in a set of Belltech 6400 shackles. I'd go for the shackles as they will actually give you a better ride and more flex.

lol its all good im glad you chimed in not many rangers around me that look good like yours. i figured on the belltechs too best friend works at oriellys an they sell a generic copy of the belltech shackles for like 30 bucks. im thinking those for a few more inches in the rear. i was thinking the xploder springs would hold the pinion angle a little closer to stock though

You wouldn't happen to be able to get the part # for those shackles, by chance would you? There is an O'reilys' near me, but they are about cluless when it comes to looking things up.

yeah

i can in a couple days todds on vacation for a few more days. i think all orilleys are set up about the same. the shackles are out on the floor in a red box near the tow straps and aftermarket truck stuff ie the guages,k an n display
