Explorer dash harness swap?

I have a 2wd 95 ranger with a 3.0 auto that I am gonna swap 5.0 in. I bought a 97 explorer (for $225) that has a good 5.0 engine with a locked up trans. My question is, are the dash wiring harnesses the same in a ranger and explorer? The explorer has power windows, locks, mirrors, and keyless entry. I would like to add these options to my ranger. I have all the door parts (took them out of a 97 ranger) so I am just curious about the dash harness. Thanks

They should be mostly the same, however there are minor differences that you will have to address. The biggest being that on a Ranger (Or a BII) the wiring for the rear lights goes out through the engine bay, and runs to the rear along the frame. On an Explorer those wires stay in the cab and run under the carpet.

Shoot, if that's the only difference I think I can handle that.
