1994 Ford Explorer dash in 1988 ranger

Yes. The main difference is 94 will have a cam sensor and EGR, 93 could have any or all of those or none, 92 and older has none. 93 Ranger is safe, 93 Explorer is less safe.

FYI I put a 94 Explorer engine that had both into a 93 Ranger that came with neither and it worked perfectly.

Found a 94 ford ranger that has no egr or abs on it. Can I use that engine wiring harness and computer and still use the 94 ford explorer wiring harness that’s underneath the dash ? Or do I need to change the entire wiring harness from the 94 ranger ?

Ranger dash harness would be a LOT easier to put into a Ranger, mostly because of the interior lights and stuff.
