Hey guys, I'm helping a friend with a '97 5.0 Merc Mountaineer AWD, and it looks like we need a Master Cylinder. I see there are options online, but my question(s) is/are:

Some have prop valve, some don't. His rig is 4 wheel disc/3 channel ABS, with cruise. I always thought prop valves were designed more for rear drums, so do I get the MC without prop? Is there an easy way to tell if there is a prop valve there now?

Dumb question, or no?

Also, I'm not enthused about the ABS/HCU issue, do you have any suggestions, or should I just not even deal with this? Not an auto noob, just want him to have solid brakes when were done.

iirc if its external you should see and soild line go into a metal block maybe alum and 4 lines leaveing, should be right near the booster, and some times there are two lines one to the front one to the rear and they have lil ones spliced in the lines youll have to look hope it helps
