Escorts 2nd SAS

you mean once? :icon_rofl::thefinger:

thats one time too many in my book.

after I sucked water in the mazda she got a snorkel. and now that ive sucked water in the explorer i'm lookin at one again. just dont want to use plumbing stuff again or at least want to make it look a little different/ better than the last

Yesterday was my birthday so I went to the local pick-a-part. I got two idlers pulleys cause the one in the truck took a crap, started making noise a few weeks ago and the other day finally stopped spinning. The ones I got weren't the same diameter so i just swapped the sealed bearing from a good one to the pulley off my truck.
I also got an intake tube. The one in the truck was cracked right under the throttle body end.
So all three pieces cost me $16. Not to bad. Plus, my brother went with me and found an IFS steering box for his Yota so he can do away with that push/pull crap.

Now I am ready for Bundy Hill on Saturday.

Still wish there was a pick a part closer to me, driving to indy sucks.

Had some fun yesterday at Bundy Hill. Finally found a place to use the winch, got high centered cause of the long wheel base.
The locker is awesome. Should of gotten it a long time ago. Was able to do hill climbs, mud holes, etc with no problems. Pics to be posted later.

If you look at the front bumper you will see mud stuck in around the fairlead. Apparently my approach angle isn't good enough.

His rear tire was barely touching the ground. I just had to check it out.

This was all of us at the end of the day, only one not pictured was this guy

It's a full size stock Bronco frame with a tube body and mini spool in the rear.

The mud hole I was in was up past the door. Didn't make it past the weather stripping.

Is that a leaf sprung 30?

yeah, looks like a sprung under D30

Yes it sure is. He wants to go spring over and remove the add-a-leaf to give it act little more flex. Right now its way to stiff for trail use.
He is the one that's nominated for ototm.

Ok. I was about to say it didn't look like he has much articulation with that setup.

No he doesn't. He struggles on the trails. There was one spot that we all had to climb a hill that was off camber, we all made it except him. If he had more articulation or even a locker he would of made it. He ended up sliding down and into a tree. It destroyed the driver bedside.

My poor bedside... And the alternator..

My truck also attempted to become a submarine on that trip.

Edit: I was also the first one up with tires that dig.

I blew out the seal in the steering box,

Guess its time to invest in a hydro assist.

Eh, mine has been leaking for years. It keeps my steering lubed up.

Sweet pics by the way! My Ranger is almost ready for that trip. Just a week late...
