Escorts 2nd SAS

Unless you're stepping up in tire sizes, I dont think there's any real need for Hydro assist IMHO, it would be a waste of money.

I am going hydro assist before long. For my poor steering box's sake.lol I am on my third box.

The last two times at Bundy Hill, IT just killed the power steering, many times had to two handed crank on the steering wheel to get it to turn, and the last time there it blew out the pitman seal and cracked the steering box...so yeah, I need it

Is the hydro assist made to make it easier for you to turn and take pressure off components or is the pressure still on everything and just being distributed to the ram and whatnot?

The hydro assist takes the pressure and stress off the steering box and puts more of it on the tie rod. It will basically make it easy enough to turn the wheel with your pinky finger.

I have everything for the steering swap except the hydraulic hoses for the ram. Problem I am having is trying to find the hoses. The ram has -10 jic fittings and the steering box has -6 jic fitting. Can't find any fitting adapters to go from a 6 to 10, and the local shop wants a fortune for custom hoses made.... So, I am stuck, unless I go and order a new ram kit from Trail-Gear that has everything needed to mount the ram, hoses, fittings, mounting tabs etc.

So it unfortunately looks like I will be finishing the steering upgrade the night before the trip to Bundy Hill. FML! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I can snag a few fittings from for you. Pay me shipping and they are yours.

I get you 10 to 6 reducers and then you can run 6 line.

5 bucks for flat rate and you are done. I might be able to make -6 hose if you know the lengths.

I need to find out if they are 10's or 12's on the ram...how do you measure them to know the size?

-10 is 7/8-14 threads and -12 is 1 1/16-12 threads

So how much for two hoses one 3' long and one 3'6" long with straight -6an ends?

You are 100% sure on the -6 part, correct? 9/16-18
