Escorts 2nd SAS

Gotta know your limits and learn to control your skinney pedal.:thefinger:

Exactly.

Maybe that is why I always have less body damage than others in my group?

Until. You break 7 times 600 miles away and that was the vehicle you drove there.... Lol

Mine will be goin on a trailer on its way to wheelin most of the time, damn truck already has 234,xxx miles on it.

I agree though, I like the dual function of a simple truck/weekend wheeler like escorts or BrayD's. The SAS just makes it that much more usable. I routinely tow for work and getting rid of the funny handling of the TTB in the wind, on the free way, with 3000# back there is something I really look forward to.

There is just something badass about a clean, functional, capable and streetable Ranger :headbang:

Keep it up escort :icon_bounceblue:

quitter.... :annoyed:

Above all, TTB parts are getting harder to find and there is little after market for it compared to a d30, d44, etc...

Quiting, I would say not as much as keeping up with stuff that you can still get parts for and still keep it simple.

I'm such a quitter, still commuting on the TTB setup and occaisionally wheelin it when the D44 is on the garage floor in pieces :thefinger:

jk jk we all have our priorities...mine is saving for a dedicated economical commuter car :icon_pepsi::beer:

I haven't done anything with the steering yet. I am absolutely broke. I got all those medical bill from when I went to the hospital a couple months ago. Wasn't expecting to pay that much.

But, I have been looking for a different steering pump. The one I have just won't work with the factory 4.0L bracket. So I need to get a different saginaw pump with a different reservoir, or maybe look into a remote reservoir one....Idk yet.

Also, I have taken out the front driveshaft. It is bent. That is why it had all that vibration while driving over 55. And during routine inspection, the front pass side axle ujoint is broken. So with all the problems I am having with the truck it will be parked this weekend until I can get enough money to fix it. Sucks not having any extra money but oh well, my family comes first.

Hopefully I can have a positive update soon.

I'm not sure if that other driveshaft I had with me when we did my 4x4 swap will work with your truck.
If it will, you can have it. It doesn't have the double cardan joint.

I will measure it tomorrow and let you know the length.

The reason, I think, why its bent is there isn't enough operating angle in the double cardan/cv. I might just have one made.

Or maybe you need some limiting straps if the front axle is dropping to far. At least ones that you can take on and off for when you drive on the road and when you go offroading.

Maybe.

Yeah limit straps would be your quickest, and cheapest option.
