On my 3.0 Mazda B 3000 my temperature gauge usually stays somewhere around 125°F to 145°F, this is a guess. My gauge obviously doesn’t show the actual temperature. I don’t have a problem with overheating or anything. I am just curious to know, What temperature does your 3.0 run at. The only time I ever get up close to the halfway point is when I’m going up a steep mountain.
Like I said nothing is wrong with my cooling system. Just curious.

You would do better to measure actual temperature than to guess. Unless somebody installed the wrong thermostat, I really doubt that it is that low. It should be up in the 180-200 degree range. Get a temperature gun and measure actual temperature right at the same point where the coolant sender is.

typical t-stat is 192.
there are 2 engine temp sensors, the 2 pin one reports to the computer, the single pin reports to the gauge.
