elusive factory 93-7 fog lights

Deal? These things are way too ****ing expensive. $76 for two lights is the biggest damn rip-off IMO. But, then again, it's still the cheapest I've seen them.

I got these at Harbor Freight for under 10 bucks a piece. I use them every night, and they've been on for over a year now. I absolutely love them. They are a one wire hookup. Just locate the positive side in the harness like I did, and splice into it.

oh yeah. by no means should they be 76 bucks. but compared to the 100-150 i usually see them. i figured why not. i'll probably never find them cheaper unless by some miracle they survived in a jy

but my dad had those harbor freight ones too. used them for back up lights. i dont particularly like them because they are just a flood light . i tried mocking it up and even if i drilled a new mounting hole it wouldnt have sit right :annoyed:

I made brackets for mine out of some scrap angle iron we had laying around at work. Are you lucky enough to have factory brackets?

EDIT: They are actually really good for a fog light. You are correct that they aren't exactly directional, but they light up the ground really well, which is why I did it all (my truck did not have them, but was pre-wired for them). I like them better than my factory Hella's on my Mustang.

Here's one of my brackets I made:

Yes. I have the factory harness and brackets. When I bought the truck there was a foot of snow in the bed and when it thawed out I found both lights smashed in a block of ice. I need to repair my valence though because I cracked it off roading. I wish I had seen that cj pony parts before. I could have saved another 20 bucks

Do you have a Certifit dealer near you? I got my valence for 16 dollars brand new (they have since gone up to $19.95).

Go to www.certifit.com and click on "In Store Catalog", then put in your zip code to see if you have one close by.

the closest certifit is in boston which is 75 miles away. Ill look around to see if I can find one cheaper to order but if not its only like 30 bucks in gas. So 50 total isn't bad

i found a new valance on ebay for 39 dollars shipped so i saved some money with out having to drive 150mi to get it

Right on. It's much easier to buy a new one than fix your old one in my opinion.

I mean I have fiberglass and everything and my dad has done it before so it wouldn't have been that bad but I just figured it would be easier to buy a new one

I just ordered these. I have the factory mounts sitting tin the tool box right now so this should be a breeze for me. :icon_thumby:

$17.99 + shipping + tax = $25.59 total. :thefinger:
